Our Founder
Josh gained significant experience as a mechanical & systems engineer in the private and federal government sectors, gaining competencies in semiconductors, electronics, aviation, automotive engineering and propulsion technology. Most recently Josh has served as an aerospace engineer for NASA, contributing to the return of American astronauts to the moon and beyond as part of the Artemis Space Program.
Josh previously worked as a U.S. patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), examining complex patent applications in the automotive engineering art unit. He also worked as a patent search analyst for several private patent and PCT search firms, gaining experience in all aspects of patent & trademark search and patent prosecution, prior to founding Cerebral IP. Josh is a licensed airplane pilot and served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army for 13 years.
